On February 18, the Youthlinc community gathered for the premiere of Closer Than We Think: A Year That Changes You—and what a night it was!

Even with a snowstorm rolling in and roads less than ideal, you showed up. That simple act says more than any speech could. It speaks to the strength of this community and the shared belief that our mission matters.

At Youthlinc, we talk often about creating lifetime humanitarians. The premiere was a living example of that vision in action. Alumni, families, board members, donors, staff, and friends came together not just to watch a film, but to celebrate growth, courage, and the transformative power of proximity and service.

A Special Thank You

We want to offer special recognition to Cash Davenport, who brought this story to life with thoughtfulness and care. He captured not just the activities of a Service Year, but the internal transformation that happens when young people step into meaningful responsibility. His comments at the premiere reflected both professionalism and genuine connection to the students and communities featured in the film.

We are deeply grateful for his work and the heart he poured into the project.

Watch & Share

The documentary is now available on YouTube on Great Salt Lake Film Co.'s channel:

We invite you to watch it again, share it with friends and family, and continue spreading the message. Stories like this help others understand what happens when service moves beyond a moment and becomes a mindset.

The more people who see what’s possible, the more we expand the circle of impact.

Grateful for You

Thank you for braving the weather.

Thank you for believing in this mission.

Thank you for continuing to invest in young people who are choosing to lead with empathy, courage, and action.

This work only moves forward because of the Youthlinc family. And last week was a powerful reminder that this family is strong.

We’re grateful to be on this journey together.
