$32,000 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Utah Young Humanitarian Award honors High School and Undergraduate Students within the State of Utah who are making a difference in their local communities.

Though our society recognizes young people for their accomplishments in sports and academics, the Utah Young Humanitarian Award has been celebrating outstanding humanitarian service among youth since 2005. This Award is generously sponsored by the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation.
Scholarship
The Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award highlights the power of sustained, self driven service in creating lasting, positive change within local Utah communities. This scholarship celebrates young leaders who have shown exceptional commitment to helping others, prioritizing collaboration over individual recognition. By partnering with established organizations or supporting existing causes, our humanitarians demonstrate that leadership is not always about starting something new, but about joining hands with others to make a difference.
You may have international service experience. Although noteworthy, this Award is for Utah’s Young Humanitarian, so Utah based service must be a central focus in the application. Above all, this award recognizes dedication to meaningful service as a core value, honoring young humanitarians who inspire others and embody the spirit of community-focused leadership.

Ambassadorship
The Utah Young Humanitarian Award scholarship requires recipients to serve as ambassadors for one year, representing the organization and the values of service it promotes. As part of this ambassadorship, recipients will attend at least three engagements arranged by the Young Humanitarian Award Director, where they will share their experiences, inspire others, and promote Youthlinc’s mission of creating lifetime humanitarians. Engagements include, but are not limited to: Youthlinc Annual Benefit, Utah Global Diplomacy’s Youth Summit, First Lady Abby Cox's Show Up Initiatives, and My Impact Challenge. In addition, they will act as representatives for Youthlinc and the scholarship program, helping to spread awareness about the impact of sustained, meaningful service and encouraging others to participate in community-focused efforts.
