Elizabeth has enjoyed working with teens since she was a teen. This is her first year working with teens through Youthlinc, but she has had several jobs where she has been able to work with youth around the country. She likes to be as hands-on with service as possible and has volunteered with several local organizations in the different communities she has lived in.

Elizabeth graduated from BYU-Idaho, where she majored in International Studies and minored in Peace and Conflict Transformation. She enjoys learning about new places and meeting new people and believes that every person’s life has inherent value, no matter where they come from or the circumstances that define their lives. She believes that serving your community is just as important as serving in other parts of the world, so the Service Year format is something that really spoke to her about Youthlinc.

She is one of the Real Life Associate Directors and is enjoying working with the youth in the program and helping the Real Life Interns as they hone their teaching skills. She loves getting to contribute to after-school programs in the Granite School District being a safe place for the youth who need it.

Outside of Youthlinc, you might find Elizabeth reading old books, ranting about movies, listening to music, or trying to convince her friends to go to concerts.
