Wasatch Community Gardens
Description:
The mission of Wasatch Community Gardens is to empower people to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. Since 1989, we have provided children, adults, and families in Salt Lake County with access to land and education for growing and eating fresh produce, while building and nurturing community connections through gardening and healthy food. We accomplish this through four main programs: Community Garden, Community Education, Youth and School Garden, and Job Training Programs.

Volunteers will support our organization by helping keep the garden spaces beautiful! Help us weed pathways, plant public-pick beds, put together summer camp boxes, harvest fruit trees, build compost and more! Volunteer group opportunities also available on our website. WCG is open for volunteers from March-October.

Because we have 21 different garden sites, projects vary from week to week. We often are beautifying the gardens, installing and maintaining pathways, and any other tasks that our community gardeners request support in!
