The Village Project

Description:

The Village Project Mentor Program helps court-involved youth become contributing members of their community through supportive one-on-one relationships with positive adult role models. The program aims to empower these young people, guiding them towards a more positive path and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Volunteers as mentors will meet at least one hour each week with assigned mentee outside their home. This regular interaction is crucial for building a meaningful relationship and providing the support these young people need.
Volunteer will attend at least three training sessions, including the orientation, training on the policies and procedures of the Juvenile Court, and the State of Utah driving test. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support the mentees.
Volunteer will complete a progress report each month and return it to the program coordinator.

Website: www.utcourts.gov/specproj/mentors/village/
