Survivor Wellness
Description:
Survivor Wellness provides care, community and support for cancer survivors and their caregivers in a home-like setting. Programming includes both free and reduced cost cancer wellness & integrative health care services, including individual counseling, support groups, peer support, individual wellness services and group wellness classes, community events and more, all in two historic homes in downtown Salt Lake City with lush gardens, a counseling cottage and a yoga studio. We "heal the things the doctors cannot", as members say. Programming is available to anyone with a cancer diagnosis as well as family members, caregivers and loved ones.<br /><br />Volunteer tasks include care of facilities, both indoors and out (cleaning, gardening, etc.), organizational tasks, paperwork, and member support. As a Volunteer, You Will-
Survivor Wellness is looking for volunteers with experience in event planning, allied health fields, office maintenance, psychology, or social work. Volunteers may also help with yard care, house maintenance, program support, parties, and programming.
