St. Anne's Center/Lantern House

Description:

St. Anne's Center was established in 1981 by a coalition of churches to help meet the basic food, clothing and shelter needs of the poor, the transient and the needy. We help those who through no fault of their own, are unable to provide for themselves. St. Annes Center acts in collaboration with the community to assist people in moving from alienation and poverty to self-sufficiency and inclusion.

https://www.stannescenter.org/

As a Volunteer, You Will-

St. Annes Center is always open. We need volunteers who are willing to serve 3-4 hours shifts on a regular basis. You could answer phones, greet clients and visitors, receive donations or answer questions. You could also assist in game nights, movie nights, parenting classes and financial management classes. In addition, you could sort donations, prepare hygiene kits, enter data, and prepare thank you notes to send to donors. We also look for groups that would like to adopt one day each month and help prepare and serve lunch, or help with special cleanup projects, painting, or adopting family rooms and fixing them up.
