Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership''s mission is to elevate individuals, families and communities of Weber County by improving self-sufficiency through services and collaborations. Our services include: Head Start, Circles Initiative, landlord-tenant mediation, education and employment assistant, VITA, and Communities That Care-Roy.<br /><br />Volunteers could assist with our Head Start preschool program working with children ages 0-5. As a Head Start volunteer, they would engage children in various activities to develop the whole child preparing them to be school ready. This opportunity is available Monday-Thursday during the hours of 9-3:30. Can be in 2, 4, or 6 hour increments. Volunteers also have the option to work with the Circles child and youth program working with children ages 0-14. This opportunity is available every Wednesday evening from 5-8:15. As a Volunteer, You Will-
We have many needs: Head Start classroom assistants, child care assistants, building maintenance, food pantry workers, Circles mentors, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) preparers. We provide internships for students going into Mental Health, Child Care and Teaching, and Family Involvement careers. Volunteers are needed to assist with special activities such as the Dental Day Extravaganza, and for fatherhood involvement program activities such as the Estes rocket build and launch, STEM fair, Dinosaur Park day, Christmas Village Scavenger Hunt, etc.
