Description:
Serving Kindergarten through 6th-grade youth, located at the Historic Scott School Arts & Community Center. HSS is a place where youth can come and be themselves! Our youth are given the opportunity to explore their talents, meet new people, and reach new academic heights in a unique and accepting atmosphere. We think outside the box when it comes to enrichment, and offer opportunities like healthy cooking, gardening, peer mentoring, found art club, and much more!<br /><br />Each day includes snack and dinner services, homework help or tutoring, enrichment activities which include; model prevention programming, art, STEM, recreation, service learning, and college and career prep. As a Volunteer, You Will-
You will work directly with the refugee students on homework tutoring, mentoring a student, or assisting in the Early Learning program. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm elementary-aged children and teens.
