
Doctors' Volunteer Clinic
Description:
The Doctors Free Clinic is a private, nonprofit, community-based health care clinic that provides quality medical care to uninsured children and adults, the working poor, and the homeless. They serve those who live at or below the poverty level and those who are ineligible for Medicaid. They provide access to health care and education for prevention as they assist patients with responsibility toward health. The clinic provides medical services, mental health services, dental services, access to qualified medical specialists on an urgent basis, and pharmaceutical assistance to patients in need of medications.<br /><br />Volunteers are needed to help in the back office with doctors and nurses, assist with paperwork, answer phone calls, take blood pressure and temperature readings, file papers, and make appointments. As a Volunteer, You Will-
