The Christmas Box House International provides vital assistance to prevent child abuse and supports children who have experienced abuse or neglect. During their stay, children receive mental, emotional, and physical care in a safe, home-like environment until an appropriate placement can be made or their home situation becomes safe.<br /><br />To help us continue this important work, we rely on volunteers. Opportunities include building and yard maintenance, donation sorting, clerical support, cleaning, and other essential tasks. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to serve onsite. Those under 18 are encouraged to participate in off-site opportunities such as donation drives or fundraisers.<br /><br />Volunteer hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Please note that we no longer offer volunteer opportunities working directly with the children.<br /><br />Website: <a href="https://thechristmasbox.org/">https://thechristmasbox.org/</a>
As a Volunteer, You Will-
The Christmas Box House is in need of volunteers to accomplish several tasks, including building and yard maintenance, activity planning and involvement, donation sorting, clerical services, cleaning, laundry and more. Volunteers may also read and interact directly with the children. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, fill out an application and pass a complete background check. Those under 18 years of age can host an activity, such as playing games or having a cookout at a park. Transportation will be provided, Tuesday through Friday evenings and Saturdays.
