
Central Park Community Center Promise South Salt Lake Youth Program
Description:
Serving Kindergarten through 12th-grade youth, located at Central Park Community Center. We believe that youth thrive when given opportunities to step outside their comfort zones. Whether we're doing art, STEM, recreation, or working on our academic skills, youth in our programs are met with encouragement from caring staff and volunteers. We're also home to the Pete Suazo PAL Boxing Gym, where students from 8-18 can participate in boxing coaching and exercises.<br /><br />Each day includes snack and dinner services, homework help or tutoring, enrichment activities which include; model prevention programming, art, STEM, recreation, service learning, and college and career prep. As a Volunteer, You Will-
You will work directly with the refugee students on homework tutoring, mentoring a student, or assisting in the Early Learning program. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm elementary-aged children and teens.
