Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah - Salt Lake Valley

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah matches youth with carefully screened volunteers to form a mutually rewarding friendship. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers various mentoring programs to fit the needs of every individual volunteer. Children enrolling in the program are at least six years old, and a 'match' can last one year, two years, or more, depending upon how the relationship is going. This youth mentoring program is available along the Wasatch Front, Park City, and St. George.<br /><br />Change a child's life for the better, forever. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah matches youth facing adversity with volunteer mentors. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers various mentoring programs to fit the needs of individual children and volunteers.<br />Volunteers will be matched with a child in the community who is in need of a mentor, a role model, or an additional support system. Matches will spend varying amounts of time together, either virtually or in person, building a healthy mentoring relationship. Volunteers are expected to be role models and friends to their mentees.<br /><br />School-Based Mentoring- Mentors and children meet on school grounds (either at lunch or after school) for one-hour once a week while school is in session. Mentors are required to volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a minimum of one full calendar year. We ask that you commit one year because we'd love to see you develop a partnership with your Little and have the opportunity for your relationship to develop. Activities include homework, board games and four square!
