<p>Our community is a unique intersection of two groups: Asian Americans in Utah, representing our heritage community, and marginalized refugees, refugee youth, and human trafficking victims, representing the community we serve. Our mission is to Engage, Equip and Empower refugees and survivors of human trafficking to become self-sufficient and thrive.</p>
<p>a potential volunteer would assist our afterschool program to support youth in academic growth and social emotional learning. a typical day would look like coming to an afterschool site, checking in with the site leader, working with the youth on homework/academics and then supporting the team in free time and any planned activity.<br /><br />Website: <a href="http://aau-slc.org/">http://aau-slc.org/</a></p>
