Art Access

Art Access builds a diverse and inclusive arts community in Utah by providing creative opportunities for people with Disabilities and other marginalized communities and through public engagement in the arts. We ensure that all people have equal access to the arts. Our programs include art therapy for survivors of sexual assault, adults/children with epilepsy and homeless adults. We provide artistic development for veterans and people with disabilities through integrated artist residencies for children in schools, our partners artist mentorship program and community based and in house workshops. We reach the public through our two galleries and our Breaking Barriers Accessibility Project.<br /><br />When you volunteer at Art Access you helping us ensure that all individuals, regardless of ability level or other social strata, have access to the healing power of the arts. Volunteers assist in a variety of capacities. We need workshop volunteers 1-2 times per month, gallery sitters &amp; assistance at Gallery Stroll, fundraising and event volunteers, gallery painters, and assistance with administrative tasks such as labeling postcards and preparing mailings 1-2 times per year.<br /><br />Website: <a href="http://www.accessart.org">www.accessart.org</a>
