destination-of-the-week-angkor-wat-lowres
Imagine walking around a place that makes you feel like you’re discovering an ancient civilization right alongside Indiana Jones. That’s exactly what happens when you experience  Youthlinc’s destination of the week: Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
Considered one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia, Angkor Wat was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List in the year 1992.

This Archaeological Park, located in Cambodia’s northern ‘Siem Reap’ province, stretches over more than 150 square miles and contains magnificent remains of the ‘Khmer Empire’, including Temples such as Angkor Wat, the Bayon, Preah Khan and Ta Prohm as well as hydraulic structures and communication routes that altogether will help you understand the organization and splendor of these historical cities.

With its high architectural, archaeological and artistic significance, Angkor exemplifies cultural, religious and symbolic values that will blow both your mind and your camera’s memory with the amount of photos and videos you’ll want to take.
