News from our Kenya team: a quick update from remote Kiamuri!
Today we received news from our Kenya team! Scott Bawden– the team leader– called to report that the team is doing great.
Instead of just building two new classrooms for the school, the team raised enough money and gained enough local manpower to build FOUR classrooms! You could almost hear Scott smile as he said: “It has been incredible what the team has been able to accomplish.”
Also, the medical committee has been doing amazing work alongside John Oglesby, the team’s doctor. According to Scott, qualified team members are helping the local Kenyans with the delivery of babies and even surgeries. Scott mentioned that these community would have no way of doing what they are doing without the help of the team.
We are so proud of our Kenya team, and all those who have supported the team prepare for this journey.
Because there is very limited internet access in the area, Scott will call again soon with another update. We will just have to wait until the team returns to get photos. Stay tuned!
