We have now reached day four here in Ambohidranomanga. In addition to performing construction projects and giving lessons to the kids, we have had the opportunity to travel deeper into the capital city of Antananarivo and teach adults lessons on business. They are all eager to learn from us and hear what we have to say about their own businesses they have started. Even though the majority of us are eighteen and younger, they still appreciate any input we have to offer. When we got the chance to offer our ideas, they became very engaged and excited to practice them.

It is becoming more and more obvious that this eagerness and willingness is a trait many Malagasy people posses. We have seen this in the classroom when teaching the kids simple lessons as well as when we are teaching some of the older women in the village how to sew. Knowing that the villagers are looking forward to learning everyday is really contributing to the success and enjoyment of the trip as a whole.  It’s reassuring to know that Youthlinc’s mission is working and thriving in their newly added country of Madagascar!
