Global Health

INDIA

Spend two weeks abroad studying, working, and exploring New Delhi and along the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountain ranges in Darjeeling. Students will work on various sustainability projects, immerse themselves in the vibrant culture, and explore Eastern & Western medicine practices as it relates to public health initiatives and communication.

You will be working with Insight Himalaya and Waves to Water to learn more about public health in India.

You will also visit Taj Mahal, various UN agencies, various NGOs, walk the streets Mother Teresa walked in Calcutta, and help create real change in a rural community in northeastern India (Chisang).

Cost includes food, water, accommodation, travel insurance, trek, activities, etc. Does NOT include international airfare, passport/visa, and spending money. 

Cost for credit:
$2,349 fee to Youthlinc
Tuition to USU (summer semester, 3 credits)
Airfare purchase on own

Cost not for credit:
$3,599 to Youthlinc
Airfare purchase on own
