A LETTER FROM OUR

executive director

2020 has been a year of uncertainty and changed expectations; it has also been a year of growth, reflection, and innovation.

Although Youthlinc’s international service trips were postponed last year, hundreds of our volunteers, both youth and adults, have continued to serve in Utah communities in any way they can. Whether that is taking care of an elderly neighbor, helping a student with remote learning, masking up and volunteering at the food bank, or making and donating masks to healthcare workers and the homeless population– humanitarianism is alive and well.

2020 has by no means been easy. Youthlinc has taken some blows just like everyone. The good news is that our volunteers, our humanitarians, are loyal and dedicated to doing good.

I am especially grateful to the Youthlinc staff, our Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Alum Leaders, student humanitarians, our donors and partners, and the Board of Directors, for being flexible yet unshakable, and for having the grit necessary to weather and thrive through a hard year.

I invite you to click through our 2020 Annual Report to learn about the many things we have accomplished this year, about the struggles, and about the plans and hope we have for the future.
