A LETTER FROM OUR
executive director
2021 has been a year of new beginnings and innovation; it has also been a year of growth, reflection, and resiliency.
We were grateful to be able to send seven international service teams abroad this year, as a capstone to the local service component of the Service Year. Hundreds of our volunteers, both youth and adults, served at home and abroad this year.
We were grateful to be able to continue with Real Life programming and support hundreds of local refugee and immigrant youth with their education and life goals. We were also able to run the Young Humanitarian Award and recognize ten excellent high school and college students for their efforts in community service with college scholarships.
I am especially grateful to the Youthlinc staff, our Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Alum Leaders, student humanitarians, our donors and partners, and the Board of Directors, for being flexible yet unshakable, and for having the grit necessary to thrive through a complex year.
I invite you to click through our 2021 Annual Report to learn about the many things we have accomplished this year, and about the plans and hope we have for the future.

Justin Powell
Executive Director
