This year we received a record number 123 applications for the 2016 Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award from students across Utah! “Last year we received 98 applications. We weren’t anticipating such a large applicant pool this year, but we are delighted” says Youthlinc Local Service Director, Jerika Mays. Students from both large cities and smaller communities applied for the Award.

Each candidate submitted a service resume, transcript, two essays, and two Recommendation Forms. Each application will be reviewed and ranked by two different Application Judges to narrow down the top-10 finalists. The top-10 finalists will be interviewed on Saturday, April 23rd at the University of Utah. Mays continues, “The goal of the Award is to recognize, celebrate, and inspire humanitarianism among Utah young people.”
