connect

connecting communities through service

We are all part of a communities—teams, clubs, a grade level, a church group, a staff, a family. There is value in being a part of a community and additional value in connecting these smaller communities so we can understand and support each other in mutually beneficial ways.

CONNECT is named for the core concepts we develop among youth through local service: connecting Community, creating Opportunity, Necessary action, being Nimble and adaptable, cultivating Empathy, Collaborating as partners, and Transforming into lifetime humanitarians.

FAMILY SERVICE NIGHTS

Family service nights are an opportunity for members of all ages to come together and serve. Hosted on the first Monday of each month, Family Service Night provides a project to impact the Utah Community. In 2022, we made seed bombs to support local Utah pollinators, put together back to school kits for low-income youth, made paracord bracelets for first responders, put together super hero capes for refugee youth Halloween costumes, tied blankets for the homeless shelter, and put together a giving tree campaign where we wrapped gifts for our Real Life afterschool participants.

Family Service Nights are sponsored by UServe Utah!

GROUP PROJECTS

We have had the pleasure of providing service projects to many companies, clubs, alumni associations, teams, youth groups, and church groups. Some projects we have completed with these groups are t-shirt bags for hygiene kits, together time kits for refugee PreK students, Halloween activity bags for refugee youth, paracord key chains for troops abroad, and parkway clean ups.
