Young Humanitarian Award

College scholarship award celebrates Utah college and high school students who
excel at community engagement

There are many scholarships which recognize students for their academic and athletic achievements. What makes the Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award unique is the recognition we offer students for the positive contributions they make within their own community.

This award celebrates young people who give back and it inspires other young people to make a difference in their community.

We are grateful to the George E and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, Robert D. Kent Jr. Trust and Michel Foundation for sponsoring this Award. We are also grateful for the A Ray Olpin University Union Building and the University Union Scholarship Fund who matched $9,000 in scholarships for University of Utah students.

"It is important to realize that service does not come in a “one size fits all” model. 2020 made this realization a reality for me when addressing the needs of my community and understanding that listening is the most important aspect of local service. Listening to how people are treated and then treating them in ways that society has lacked to provide is what I love to do most"
