Community Nursing Services is having an Art and Soup fundraiser on February 25th and 26th. Proceeds fund hospice and home health care to individuals who are under insured or do not have insurance. Service that are provided include nurse home visits, occupational therapy, social work visits, infusion medication, home medical equipment, hospice days, physical therapy, flu shots, oxygen, and immunizations. Volunteers are needed to set up and take down the event, greet attendees, take tickets, pass out cookies, etc. See flier for details. The Children’s Center provides comprehensive mental health care to enhance the emotional well-being of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families. Volunteers are needed for childcare services for siblings of children attending our autism social skills after school groups. You will work with one of our teachers to babysit 9 children ranging from 1-8 years old. Groups are held on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:30 PM and run for 10 weeks starting 9/29. It is preferred that volunteers commit to be there through the 10 weeks.
U-FIT needs volunteers on Friday nights from 6-8 pm. Volunteers work one on one with children with disabilities and their siblings in a number of fun physical activities such as swimming, dance, art, and activities in the gym. See the flier for more details.
The YMCA of Northern Utah is hosting Reality Town at Highland Jr. High, Mt. Ogden Jr. High, Mound Fort Jr. High, and DaVinci Academy. The first Reality Town is quickly approaching on Wednesday, October 15th. Each of these events requires 30-40 volunteers to make it a success. View the flier for more details.
